My name is Adam Howard and I’m a tester.

This blog is a way for me to share my experiences in testing. The objective of this activity is as much about learning as it is about teaching. Only through exploring how I test will I get better at it, and so this site will necessarily be quite introspective. However, I hope that you – my imagined readers – will come along for the ride, and together we can improve the way we test.

Sola Virtus Invicta is the latin motto of the Howard family (of which I belong to but a humble offshoot). It can be roughly translated as “virtue alone is invincible” and is one of the principles by which I try to live and work.

To test with virtue is what I aspire to do every day. For me it means testing with excellence and morality. I want to test as well as I can, and as openly and honestly as I can.

If you wish to get in touch to discuss any aspect of testing (or life, the universe and everything) you can find me on Twitter (@adammhoward) or via this contact form.

Note:  I am proud to be an employee of Trade Me, and formerly of Assurity Consulting Limited. However the thoughts, opinions and spelling mistakes published here are entirely my own.

PS. In a former life I was a freelance football writer. If you like my writing and you like football, do check it out. One day I may find the time to resurrect that particular hobby.
